Dog dies in Eatonville house fire

EATONVILLE, Wash. — An Eatonville family lost their dog in a fire that ripped through their home Thursday evening.

Every person inside the house located on the waterfront of Lake Tanawax was able to escape, fire officials said.

Firefighters said they had to fight the fire aggressively and said there were no hydrants in the area, causing them to use water tenders to help put out the flames.

Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
