RENTON, Wash. — A King County sheriff’s deputy is OK and a driver is hurt after both were involved in a crash in Renton.
It happened about 4 a.m. Wednesday morning at Rainier Avenue South at 115th Place South.
The deputy was about to make a traffic stop and was in the process of doing a U-turn when the patrol car was struck by an oncoming pickup.
The 71-year-old driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital. That person's condition is not known.
The deputy refused treatment at the scene.
