Deputies investigating shooting in Parkland

PARKLAND, Wash. — Deputies are investigating after a 20-year-old man was shot early Saturday morning in Parkland.

Officers were called at about 2:40 a.m. to 9700 S. Croft Street and began performing lifesaving measures on the man.

According to deputies, the victim was shot while in his car with his girlfriend near South 96th Street and Yakima Avenue South. The couple then drove to Croft Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Deputies said they were investigating a nearby road rage incident when they got the call, and are working to find out if the two events are connected.
