A search and rescue team from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island rescued an injured hiker Tuesday evening in the Cascade Mountains.
Officials with NAS Whidbey Island said the hiker, a woman in her 50s, had an injury to her lower leg.
Crews located her near Mount Buckner in and hoisted her onboard the helicopter.
She was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital.
Naval Air Station Whidbey Island SAR has conducted 35 total missions throughout this year, including 10 searches, 15 rescues and 10 medical evacuations.
