Crews battle fire at boarded up restaurant in Pacific

Fire at abandoned restaurant in Auburn

AUBURN, Wash. — Crews from three fire stations responded to a fire at a boarded up restaurant in Pacific Tuesday morning.

Valley Regional Fire Authority first tweeted about the fire in the 4500 block of A St. SE around 6:30 a.m.

When crews arrived, smoke and flames could be seen coming from the building. The Auburn Examiner reported that the building used to be Cools Cafe.

Firefighters were able to enter the building, but backed out because of unsafe conditions. Crews are fighting the fire defensively from the outside.

Multiple units from Valley Regional Fire Authority, Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority and South King Fire responded.

Fire equipment is blocking the northbound lanes of A St. SE at the scene.
