WATCH: Car slams into downtown Seattle doughnut shop

SEATTLE — A 50-year-old man was transported to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries after he drove into a doughnut shop in downtown Seattle Wednesday.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. at Mighty-O Donuts, near 2nd Avenue and Madison Street.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, police said.

Occupants inside the store all suffered minor injuries and one of them requested to be transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, fire officials said.

On Thursday, officials told KIRO 7 owners are meeting with a building engineer to review the structural integrity of the walls, which will determine a timeline for when the shop will re-open.

Mighty-O said it will be closed until at least next Thursday.
