One dead in fire at Seattle apartment building

SEATTLE — One person was found dead after a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Seattle.

Firefighters were called to the four-story building in the 1400 block of East Yesler Way just before 12:30 a.m. Monday. Flames were visible when crews arrived.

One person was found dead inside one of the units after smoke and flames consumed part of a building. Crews believe the victim was inside the unit where the fire started.

The fire is now under control.

The cause is under investigation.
