The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office said a fisherman found remains on the river bank near Rockport around 9 a.m. Sunday.

Sheriff’s officials responded. The remains were later identified to be the missing boy Sage Adams.

Adams was kayaking with his father when his father fell out of his kayak and the pair was separated.

The father hiked out and reported the boy missing. Crews searched the area for about a week and couldn’t find him, and the search was later suspended.
