Bellevue mayor issues another curfew

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A curfew has been issued for a second night in the city of Bellevue.

Mayor Lynn Robinson signed an emergency order Monday issuing the curfew.

It will go into effect from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday in the downtown area.

This comes a day after Robinson declared a civil emergency for the city after looters targeted the downtown area, damaged property and stole merchandise.

Police said Sunday some of the demonstrators broke windows and damaged property. According to police, some of its officers had objects thrown at them.
