Bellevue construction workers threatened by 74-year-old man with rifle, police say

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A 74-year-old man who’s accused of threatening workers with a rifle was arrested on Tuesday, according to Bellevue police.

Police said the man was armed with a semiautomatic rifle when he threatened construction workers in the 1100 block of 106th Avenue Northeast at 4:20 p.m.

The incident prompted a large response from police.

The man surrendered and police seized his weapon.

No one was hurt.

The suspect was booked into jail.
