Ballots are now in the mail - here’s what you need to know

Ballots for the November 2020 election are officially on their way to voters starting this week.

King County Elections started sending out ballots on Wednesday, kicking off the election process in the county. Friday marks the start of the statewide voting period.

Snohomish County ballots are going out Thursday, and Pierce County ballots are going out Friday.

You can expect your ballot to arrive five to 10 days after it’s mailed out.

King County voting centers are also opening Wednesday, and ballot drop boxes are opening Thursday.

The first ballot return statistics will be available by Monday, Oct. 19.

You can either put your ballot in a drop box, or in the mail. Ballots must be put in the drop boxes by 8 p.m. on Election Day or postmarked by Election Day.
