Hundreds of pets were flown to Everett from Arkansas after 2 p.m. Saturday.
The pets were displaced by devasting floods.
Nearly two hundred cats and dogs will be available for adoption at Seattle Humane, PAWS, The NOAH Center and two other partnering shelters. Fifty of the animals will go to Seattle Humane's Bellevue facility.
This is the second disaster transfer of pets in 2019 for Seattle Humane.
The transfers are a part of Seattle Humane’s Life-Saver Rescue Program. The animals come from other shelters that lack the space, resources or population to adopt them.

"We expect that from now on, we will assist with disaster relief every year. In my opinion, as long as climate change continues, we will, unfortunately, face dire environmental consequences, which obviously affects animals as much as it does people," Seattle Humane Intake Manager Jessica Charlton said.
Charlton said the program is expected to see an increase in missions during this year’s natural disaster season (generally considered to be April to November).
So far, 2,000 animals have already been rescued this year.
Those animals were transported by a Wings of Rescue flight.
