SEATTLE — A 65-year-old man suspected of stabbing another man in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood was arrested Friday afternoon, Seattle police said.

At 3:54 p.m., multiple people reportedly called 911 to report two men fighting at the intersection of North 45th Street and Meridian Avenue North.

One witness said that as the fight ended and the men parted ways, they saw one of the men — later identified as the 61-year-old victim — had been stabbed in the stomach, according to police.

Medics who arrived at the scene took the victim — who was in critical condition — to Harborview Medical Center.

After witnesses described the suspect, officers found the man several blocks away with a knife.

The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for first-degree assault.
