Three people were killed Monday in Jefferson County after a vehicle drifted off a road and into a tree.
The crash happened about 5:30 a.m. on state Route 19 at milepost 12 near 4 Corners Road. That's south of downtown Port Townsend and west of Port Hadlock.
The victims were a 21-year-old Port Hadlock woman, an 18-year-old Bremerton man and a 20-year-old Port Townsend man who was driving. The cause was being investigated Monday. The vehicle drifted to the right before hitting the tree.
State Route 20 was fully blocked Monday morning near the crash scene. It reopened shortly before 11:30 a.m. Additional details were not immediately available as State Patrol troopers were working to notify the victims' families.
