SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Three people were taken to the hospital early Thursday after an overnight drive-by shooting that sent a bullet through a man’s house.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched to 158th Street Southwest near 35th Avenue West in Lynnwood at 3:50 a.m. after neighbors heard gunshots and called 911.
Deputies arrived and found three males with gunshot wounds. Two were taken to Providence Medical Center and one was taken to Harborview Medical Center. We know two of the victims were 17 and 18 years old.
So far, none of the victims are cooperating with investigators. Deputies said the shooting was gang-related and the third victim refused to give his name or age.
The suspects fled in a car, but there is no description so far.
Two handguns were found at the scene.
We spoke with a neighbor who had a bullet go through his home on 159th Street Southwest.
“Well, it’s not the first time my house was shot up. I had to wait to see until the light to see where the bullet came through. It went all the way through the house into the closet,” said James.
He said if he hadn’t been in another room, he might have been hit by the bullet.
James said he only heard two gunshots, but another neighbor told us she heard about 20.
Deputies had the scene cleared within an hour.
