2-year-old boy found floating in pond in Arlington released from hospital

ARLINGTON, Wash. — A 2-year-old boy who was found unresponsive while floating in a pond in Arlington in January was released from the hospital on Monday.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Boyer responded to the call and found the boy was cold to the touch.

Boyer gave the boy, Michael, CPR until medics arrived.

Michael received CPR for about 35 minutes while he was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center, according to a Facebook post from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

He was later transferred to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

After spending the last few months in the hospital, Michael was released to go home.

The boy was treated to a welcome home parade put together by the first responders who responded and performed CPR that day.
