2 teenagers shot near Mill Creek

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Police are investigating after two teenage boys were injured in a Sunday night shooting near Mill Creek.

Snohomish County deputies responded around 8 p.m. to a shooting in the 4300 block of 148th Street SE.

While investigating, police learned that the shooting started with a verbal fight in the parking lot. The victims were sitting in a car when two male suspects approached them before firing.

An 18-year-old was shot in his arm and abdomen and taken to Harborview Medical Center. A 17-year-old was shot in his chest and taken to Providence Medical Center.

The suspects fled the shooting in a car.

Detectives believe the victims and suspects know each other. They are continuing to investigate.
