1 injured in Tacoma house fire

TACOMA, Wash. — A house fire in Tacoma resulted in one person being injured Sunday morning.

Fire crews were called after 8 a.m. to the 600 block of South G Street, where smoke and flames were visible.

One person was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to officials.

No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters said they had to cut a hole in the roof for ventilation and were able to put the fire out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
