Man shot at Mill Creek apartment complex

MILL CREEK, Wash. — Police are investigating after a man was shot Thursday night in Mill Creek.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of Mill Creek Boulevard around 8:45 p.m. after several people called 911 about a possible shooting after hearing sounds of gunshots and loud voices at an apartment there.

When officers arrived at The Mill at Mill Creek apartment complex, they found shell casings in the breezeway of a building and what appeared to be bullet holes in the walls of an apartment, police said.

Officers found the apartment door was unlocked, but no one was inside. Mill Creek officers said they were familiar with that particular apartment from prior calls there.

While officers were at the apartment, they received reports that a man with a gunshot wound to the lower torso showed up at a hospital, police said. He told them he had been shot at an apartment at The Mill at Mill Creek. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Officers searched the area but no suspects were found. However, police believe at least four people were involved.

No other apartments were believed to be hit by gunfire.

It is not immediately known what led up to the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Chris White at 425-921-5759.
