Motorcyclist killed, another injured in collision in Spanaway

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A motorcyclist has died and another person was injured in a crash on Sunday in Spanaway, troopers said.

The crash happened on state Route 7 at 268th Street East.

The driver of the car, a 30-year-old man, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He is under arrest for driving under the influence, authorities said.

The north and southbound lanes are blocked.

The crash remains under investigation.
