It's finally spring, and with the warmer weather comes construction season and the next phase of rehabilitation work on I-5.
WSDOT crews will launch the next phase of "Revive I-5" beginning April 5. Throughout the summer, crews will repave about 4 miles of southbound I-5 between Spring Street in downtown and South Lucile Street by Boeing Field.
Crews will repair and replace damaged concrete panels, grind the surface of pavement in all lanes and repave several ramps, according to a press release from WSDOT.
Travelers who use southbound I-5 through downtown during the late night and early morning hours should find alternate routes or expect delays.
