Kittitas High School student wounded in off-campus shooting

SEATTLE — A Kittitas High School student has been injured in an off-campus shooting, school officials tell KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

A school representative said the student was shot, but was not on campus at the time.  Police are at the scene.

The, victim, a 17-year-old senior, is in stable condition.

A State Patrol trooper said the shooting was in the town of Kittitas, and that the victim was able to walk to school for help.

KIRO 7's Chris Legeros is on his way to Kittitas to learn more about the victim, and what police may know about the shooter.
