• Good Samaritan pulls unconscious man from burning car

    SEATTLE - A Good Samaritan pulled an unconscious man from a burning car after a head-on crash in West Seattle. 

    Firefighters said two SUVs hit head on at Sylvan Way Southwest and Southwest Morgan Street around 8:00 p.m. Sunday. By the time firefighters arrived, the unconscious man had been pulled from the car and was lying on the sidewalk.

    Firefighters said they were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

    Firefighters said the 26-year-old regained consciousness on the sidewalk and was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The other driver was able to get out of his car on his own.

    He was transported to Harborview in stable condition, firefighters said.

    Seattle police are investigating what caused the crash.
