Federal Way home a total loss after fire

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A home in the 29600 block of 23rd Ave. SW in Federal Way was destroyed by fire Wednesday night.

The first 911 call came in just before 10:15 p.m., but the fire may have started well before that.  The home is situated in an area that is somewhat remote.

Once firefighters arrived on the scene, there were lines down around the home making access even more difficult.

A KIRO 7 photographer spoke to a neighbor who said the homeowners were out of town. The neighbor called the homeowners to let them know about the fire while we were speaking with her.
