BELLEVUE, Wash. — Bellevue police are investigating the death of a teenager who was dead Wednesday night.
At 7:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unconscious individual outside of a home in the 600 block of 153rd Avenue Northeast.
Bellevue police called the death suspicious earlier in the evening.
When officers arrived, they found the victim in the backyard of the home. She was declared dead at the scene.
The victim was later determined to be a 17-year-old girl from Snohomish County.
Bellevue police said that so far, the girl's death does not appear to be from natural causes, though there were no obvious signs of trauma.
The King County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine her cause and manner of death.
