Man shot in Bellevue apartment

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A shooting on the Eastside ended with one man in custody and another with serious injuries.

Police were called to the scene at the Illahee Apartments, 14049 Bel-Red Rd., in Bellevue at about 4 a.m. Sunday after getting reports of gunfire.

Investigators initially found a 42-year-old man with life-threatening injuries inside one of the apartments. His condition has improved since the shooting.

Police quickly found the 31-year-old suspect sitting in a vehicle not far from the scene.

Investigators believe the two men know each other, but there's no word of a possible motive.
