BELLEVUE, Wash. — A man was arrested after he called police to report he had stabbed another man during a fight at a Bellevue convenience store.
Bellevue police were called to the AM/PM store at the intersection of 116th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street at 11:11 p.m. Monday by a 22-year-old man who said he had been involved in a fight and had stabbed another man.
The victim, a 41-year-old man, ran to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was taken to Bellevue Police headquarters, where he was interviewed before he was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
Both men were described as local homeless people who were intoxicated.
Police said they recovered the knife used in the stabbing.
