BOTHELL, Wash. — UPDATE: Deputies said Jung Kim was found safe around 10:30 a.m. by a search and rescue volunteer.
“He was cold, wet and disoriented, but otherwise is okay and is being evaluate by aid,” deputies said.
Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 85-year-old man.
Officials said Jung Kim was last seen around 6 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 180th Street SE and 35th Avenue SE.
Deputies said he was wearing a light blue jacket, light pants, black shoes and a hat and mentioned that he may have early onset dementia.
Deputies said he may have been trying to walk to a family member’s house near Nickel Creek Park in Bothell.
Just before 9 a.m., deputies said search and rescue officials, K-9 teams and a helicopter were still searching in the Bothell area for Kim.
“If you live near this area, please search your backyards, garages and outbuildings for Mr. Kim,” a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.
Anyone with information on Kim’s location is asked to call 911.
