SEATTLE - Lou Guzzo, a longtime newsman and KIRO commentator, died Saturday at age 94.
Guzzo worked as an art and theater critic at the Seattle Times for 20 years before becoming managing editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Guzzo made regular commentaries on KIRO 7’s noon news in the 1980s and early ‘90s, and had published more than two books, many of which were e-books.
He also worked with Dixie Lee Ray at the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and helped her in her successful bid for Washington governor.
After his retirement from KIRO TV, Guzzo maintained a website featuring commentary on daily events.
