• Car seized after armed robbery in Seattle's Kerry Park

SEATTLE - Detectives are investigating whether a car may be linked to two masked gunmen who robbed three people at gunpoint at a Queen Anne park.

Police said two women and a man were at Kerry Park near Third Avenue West and West Prospect Street about 2 a.m. Monday when two men, who were armed with handguns and wearing handkerchiefs over their faces, approached them.

The masked men took the victims' wallets and one of the victim's cellphones and then told them to run.

Police said the men then fired at least one shot into the air before running to a silver Honda.

Though officers stopped a silver Honda nearby, the victims weren't able to confirm that the driver and passengers were the men who robbed them.

Officers consulted with the department's cellphone-tracking expert, but were unable to locate the victim's phone.

After detaining and identifying the Honda's driver and two passengers, police released them, but seized their vehicle.

Robbery detectives are investigating the case and will search the vehicle for evidence.
