Car found in hit-and-run that seriously injured cyclist

A bicyclist suffered a head injury, concussion, and broken bones in a hit-and-run crash on January 22.

Investigators have found a silver Subaru whose driver is accused of running over and seriously injuring a bicyclist in a Kirkland apartment parking lot.
 
Even with the help of a citizen tip, detectives are still working to find the driver.

Kirkland police say the car was reported stolen Jan. 19; the hit-and-run happened on Jan. 22.

He was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
 
The crash was reported just before 8 a.m. in the parking lot of Avalon Apartments near the 5800 block of Lakeview Drive by Carillon Point.

A construction worker at a nearby site attempted to follow the vehicle, but the driver eluded him.
