What was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime to Morocco has turned into a struggle to get home for a man from Stanwood. And he’s not alone. Several travelers from just the north sound area are having trouble getting home from Mexico, Honduras, and Peru.

If you or a loved one are having travel difficulties due to Coronavirus, you're urged to contact the nearest U.S. embassy and enroll in the State Department's "STEP" traveler registration program. You or a family member should also call your congressional representative. Look up your home district and representative here.

UPDATE: The day after our story aired, and after waiting for 10 hours in the Marrakesh airport, Karsten was able to book a flight to London, where he hopes to find space on another flight to the United States.
