Health Evolution: Fighting Cancer From Within
The Health Evolution special aired at 6:30 p.m. on June 19, 2016. Watch the full special below.
KIRO 7's special, Health Evolution: Fighting Cancer From Within, was anchored by KIRO 7’s Morning News team of Michelle Millman and John Knicely. KIRO 7 examined the next generation in cancer care. Immunotherapy is a type of treatment that doesn’t have harsh side effects like nausea or hair loss (from chemotherapy) or burns (from radiation). This new treatment harnesses the power of the immune system to fight cancerous tumor cells, similar to the way the body would fight off a cold or the flu.
