7 things to do this weekend: Sept. 14 - 16

1) Animal love: Project Paws Pet Expo and Adoption, Seattle - From 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, KIRO 7 News will air live interviews and features with valuable information for current and future pet owners. On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at MarketPlace @ Factoria in Bellevue, get to know local shelters and learn about their adoptable furry friends. Follow this link for details.

2) Storm celebration: Parade for Seattle Storm – Sunday, Sept. 16, at 1 p.m., come out and help celebrate the WNBA 2018 champs! A parade will be held in honor of the team's sweep over the Washington Mystic. The Storm are the sixth WNBA franchise to win three league titles. Follow this link for details. 

3) Dance, dance: Tango Magic Festival, Seattle – Thursday to Monday, Sept. 13-17. Attendees will find a festive atmosphere full of partner dancing with moves from various cultures that mix to make a good tango. 4) Collectors dream: Seattle Philatelic Exhibition (SEAPEX) – This event will run from Friday to Sunday, Sept. 14-16, and start at 10 a.m. each day. Attendees will be able to check out numerous stamp exhibits and vendors. Some of you may recognize the collections, and some collections may be new to you. Follow this link for details.

5) Cultural Festival: St. Demetrios Greek Festival, Seattle – Friday to Sunday, Sept. 14-16. This annual event is all about community. Celebrate by enjoying dozens of traditional Greek foods and pastries, and don't forget the active Greek folk dance that is always a favorite. Follow this link for details. 

6) Fishing celebration:  Fishermen's Fall Festival, Seattle – Saturday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This festival is all about the return of the North Pacific Fishing fleet to the Fishermen's Terminal. 7) Classical culture: Seattle Fiestas Patrias – Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15-16. This event is all about exploring Latin roots.
