Maritime Fun: Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival - Friday to Sunday, October 6-8. This festival boasts of music, food, art and more. There are expected to be 14 restaurants and cooking demonstrations along with celebrity chefs. There will also be a challenge: Grab-A-Crab Tank Derby. Soul Music: Earshot Jazz Festival - Sunday, October 8. The actual festival itself runs through November 12. There will be 50 distinctive concerts and events in various venues throughout the city through November. The festival's kick off is at the KEXP Gathering Space. 472, 1st Avenue North, Seattle. Kid Excitement: Seattle Children's Festival –Sunday, October 8. There will be various performances and presentations, some including Hip Hop Dance to creative drama, even tunes for little tots. Parents may not want to miss bringing their kids to this event. The event will be held on the Seattle Center grounds, 305 Harrison Street, Seattle. Follow this link for details.

Festive Mood: Issaquah Salmon Days – Saturday & Sunday, October 7-8, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The festival will kickoff with a parade. Go for a toy-making workshop or to run a 5K. History Made: Candlelight Tour – Friday & Saturday, October 6-7, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Event will feature a walking tour of Fort Nisqually Living History Museum bringing to life the period of 1855. Gridiron: UW Huskies vs California Bears – Saturday, October 7, 7:45 p.m. The 6th Ranked Washington football team (5-0 overall, 2-0 Pac-12) hosts its first Pac-12 home game this season as former UW defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox brings the Cal Golden Bears (3-2 overall, 0-2 Pac-12).
