7 things to do this weekend: March 1 - 3

1) Atmospheric change: Curiosity Days: Climate Change - Friday to Sunday - Attendees will get a chance to explore issues that are having an impact on the Earth's ecosystem. See how sea ice and freshwater ice are different. From th event site: "Drop food dye on ice samples to discover the difference between salt and freshwater ice and what this means for our ever-changing icecaps!" 2) At home: Seattle Home Show - Running until March 3. Attendees will get to experience everything for the home whether it be an exhibit on decorating, landscaping or the latest appliances, this show will have it. There will also be seminars and wine tasting. Follow this link for details.

3)  Hands on: Sewing & Stitchery Expo - Running until Sunday. Expected to get great ideas and equipment to help finish your next project. There will be classes to learn new techniques and secrets to sewing, like two-needle or three-needle. This event is at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup. Follow this link for details.

4) Numbers: Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival - Saturday from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. This event is all about inspiring young minds to explore activities and creative problem-solving involving math. The environment will be noncompetitive. Volunteers will guide tables with several dozen math problems and activities. This event will take place on the University of Washington campus in Seattle in HUB South Ballroom. Follow this link for details.

5) Fun on the water: 70th Anniversary Throwback Cruise - Saturday and Sunday. Argosy is celebrating its history with a one-hour cruise around Elliot Bay. Hear throwback narration from 1949 to present day information on things that have happened around Puget Sound. Follow this link for details.

6) Food Fun: Penn Cove Musselfest - Saturday and Sunday. Attendees will get a chance to taste mussels prepared in a variety of ways. There will be plenty of mussels to eat, along with cooking demonstrations. There will be music, a wine garden and boat tours of the Penn Cove Mussels farm. Follow this link for details.

7) Style Exhibition: Reign of Style Hair Show & Competition – Sunday. The show is aimed at providing a stage and opportunity for hairstylists, beauticians, fashion designers and more to display their talents.
