7 things to do this weekend: Aug. 9- 11

1. Summer concert series: Downtown Summer Sounds 2019. Seattle. July 9 – Aug. 23 (Wed.-Fridays). Noon-1 p.m. or noon-1:30 p.m. The Downtown Seattle Association celebrates 41 years of live music with the kickoff of Downtown Summer Sounds, presented by Virginia Mason. 2. Ye ol' Renaissance fans: Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire: Weekend 2: The Enchanted World of Faeries & Goblins. This magical weekend will be no stranger to pixies, dragons, unicorns and faeries as many dress-up in their favorite mythical creatures. Follow this link here for more details.

3. Weekend of music: Chateau Ste Michelle Winery. Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. This weekend will be filled with musical talent as Latin-Flamenco group, The Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo on Friday at 7 p.m., then Elvis Costello & The Imposters will perform with Blondie Saturday, starting at 6:30 p.m. Follow this link here for more details.

4. Waterfront car show: Kirkland Waterfront Car Show. Kirkland. Sunday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. The car show returns this year, rebranded and expanded. Attractions will be featured along Lake Shore Plaza next to Moss Bay, down 2nd Avenue, and throughout Central Way. Part of all proceeds this year will be donated to Hopelink, a nonprofit working to end poverty. Follow this link here for more event details.

5. Festival in the mountains: Festival at Mt. Si. North Bend. Friday, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. FREE. This festival brings in vendors from all over the state, with local jazz and rock live music performances, pie eating contests, and a chili cook-off. There's even a Kid Zone for the little ones too. 6. South Sound festival: Auburnfest & Auburn Days Parade. Les Gove Park, Auburn. Friday-Sunday, 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Catch the weekend-long festivities including a 5K Poker Fun Run & walk on Friday, festival and parade on Saturday, and Cruise-In car show on Sunday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Follow this link here for more details.

7. Wine and dine: 11th annual Kitsap Wine Festival. Harborside Fountain Park in Bremerton. Saturday, 2-5 p.m. Soak up the sun in beautiful Bremerton at this wine and food festival, sip great wines and try local bites. Take home a bottle of your favorite wine at the festival too or play cornhole and ladder golf by the water. Participation at the festival benefit the Kitsap Humane Society.
