Crash on Ship Canal Bridge snarls I-5 traffic

SEATTLE — A collision involving two trucks and a car blocked two lanes of Interstate 5 on the Ship Canal Bridge Monday morning.

The collision, in the northbound lanes just south of Northeast 45th Street, blocked the two left lanes just before 7 a.m.

Chopper 7 video showed a semi-trailer with its cab smashed, a box truck and a pickup.

Medical aid, fire assistance, the Incident Response Team and the State Patrol were at the scene, the Washington State Department of Transportation said.
