Car flips, burns on I-5 exit in Seattle

SEATTLE — A car flipped over and caught fire early Monday morning as its driver tried to exit Interstate 5 in Seattle.

Police said the car was following a Chevrolet Tahoe at around 2 a.m. on I-5 southbound when it tried to make the Albro exit too quickly. The driver of the sedan took off running as the car burst into flames.

Officers said they’ve located the driver and plan to interview him. They’re also looking into whether alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck.
