RENTON, Wash. — Bobby Wagner is questionable for the NFC West Showdown against the Rams because of a hamstring injury that knocked him out of last week's loss against Jacksonville.

K.J. Wright is doubtful to play after landing in the concussion protocol.

When the Seahawks took on the Rams in Los Angeles earlier this season, Earl Thomas showed why he is one of the most entertaining safeties in the NFL.

The 12s will never forget the moment when Thomas knocked away the football from Todd Gurley at the goal line to kill the Rams opening drive. Seattle held Gurley to 43 yards rushing in that game, but the team knows how challenging it could be this time around against the NFL's third-leading rusher.

"The offense I think is clearly built around his ability and the dynamics of what he offers,” Pete Carroll, the Seahawks head coach, said. “He's a terrific outside runner and inside runner, he's great with the ball in his hands coming out of the backfield, and he can do everything and the remarkable thing about Todd is he is so durable and so consistent."

But it's not just Gurley the Seahawks are concerned about.

"It's been pretty cool to see guys like Jarred Goff playing as well as he is, and their defense has always been great for years,” said Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. “We know this is a challenge; we're looking forward to the challenge. NFC West battle, it's a great game, and they have great players."

"Depending if we are in a zone or a man-to-man, I think everybody has to win their individual battles.  Man-to-man, guys have to match up and go out there and play,” said Bradley McDougald, who's filling in for Kam Chancellor at strong safety. “We need help from the guys up front to give us pressure to get the quarterback off his spot and moving around the pocket."

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that running back Mike Davis is good to go against the Rams on Sunday.
