ESPN says league sources told them the Oakland Raiders may try to acquire former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.

The powerhouse known as “Beast Mode” is retired.

Lynch’s NFL rights still belong to the Seahawks, so Oakland would have to trade for him.

ESPN says Seattle could decide to release Lynch to allow him to sign with Oakland. The sports network says both of Oakland's general managers have a long-standing relationship because they worked together in the Packer's front office.

Sources say Lynch has considered coming out of retirement and playing for his hometown team could be an influencer.
