SEATTLE — Every year, before the Seahawks start yet another season, fans have one question on their minds: What will I eat when I go to a game? No worries. The Seahawks food menu is out. You can start deciding now.

This season’s menu includes chicken and waffles and a new bacon burger by Seattle Chef John Howie — its patty is 60 percent beef and 40 percent bacon.

And this year's culinary offerings at CenturyLink Field are perhaps more diverse than in previous years. That's because, according to the Seahawks, the stadium food went through considerable upgrades.

According to the Seahawks:

• 23 concessions stands in the stadium got an upgrade.
• Almost half of the concessions stands at the upper level have been upgraded.
• 12 new local food and beverage partners have been added. That means northwest food is available at every stand.
• Seven stands will have new concepts, including Cantina, Chicken and Waffles, Local Eats, and four quick service restaurants.
• There will be two new grab-and-go stations on the upper deck that will have healthier food.
• There is also quicker service for beer and beverages.

What’s new with Seahawks food?

The new food offerings will be available at all Seahawks and Sounders games at CenturyLink Field.

Chef Howie was brought on to design menu items at four concession stands in the club level — inspired by his local restaurants.

Food from two popular Seattle restaurants — Ezell’s Famous Chicken and Kraken Congee — were added to the selection.

This year, Seahawks food will also have a healthy spin to it. Some concessions stands will have food appropriate for those with food allergies, or who are gluten-free, vegetarian, and other preferences.

The Seahawks preseason begins on Aug. 13 with a game against the Chiefs. The game will be in Kansas City. The first home preseason game for the Seahawks will be Aug. 18 against the Vikings.
