KIRO 7 Cares: Project Paws

Seattle is passionate about our pets. At KIRO 7, we are too. That’s why we’re launching Project Paws, presented by Invisible Fence Brand, a new two-day event connecting members the community with resources, information, and opportunities to help homeless pets find their forever homes.

Watch KIRO 7 throughout the day on Friday, September 15th, for live cut-ins featuring expert interviews, furry friends available for adoption, and valuable information for current or future pet owners. Animal welfare advocates and organizations will be on site to provide information about Adoptions, Emergency Relief efforts, Pet Care, Behavior & Training, Volunteering, and more.

Then on Saturday, September 16th, join us at Westlake Park in Downtown Seattle from 10am-4pm for family-friendly and pet-friendly activities or to adopt your new family member. Local rescues and shelters will have dogs, cats, and other small animals looking for their new home. Pets on a leash are welcome in the Pop-Up Dog Park, and there will be activities for both people and pets, food and drink options, giveaways and prizes, and samples and goodies to take home.
