Worker airlifted after accident at Port of Olympia

OLYMPIA, Wash. — A worker was airlifted to a hospital after he was injured in an accident at the Port of Olympia.

The man, an employee of the Orion Marine Group, was hurt when a bucket used in the dredging process shifted or struck the worker.

The 50-year-old man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

Olympia paramedics evaluated the worker on the barge and again once he was on shore.  He was conscious and talking and able to move his limbs.
