SEATTLE - Seattle police said two women were injured while they battling one another with a crutch and a knife Monday morning.
Officers said a woman approached another woman sitting in the bus shelter at Third Avenue and James Street in downtown Seattle around 5:45 a.m. and began attacking her with a crutch.
The victim produced a knife and stabbed her attacker in the hands several times, investigators said.
Both women were treated at the scene by Seattle fire medics and transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
Upon release from the hospital, the woman with the crutch will be booked into the King County Jail on assault charges.
Police do not yet know what sparked the attack.
