EVERETT, Wash. - An Everett woman charged with trying to decapitate her sleeping husband was found guilty of attempted murder.
A jury took three hours to convict Renee Bishop Thursday.
Police said the 44-year-old used an electric reciprocating saw to attack her husband last October.
The victim, Bret Bishop, was able to fight her off, even after his wife hit him in the head with a hatchet and a mallet.
Police said they found an unusual number of aluminum roasting pans, bleach and plastic bags in the home as if someone was planning for a massive cleanup effort.
The woman could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.
