Woman rescued from Snoqualmie River

A woman was rescued Friday afternoon from the Snoqualmie River, said officials with the King County Sheriff’s Office.

NORTH BEND, Wash. — The marine unit with the Sheriff’s Office responded to the location after a person reported seeing the woman in the river near the Snoqualmie Golf Course along the Snoqualmie Trail.

The woman, in her 30s, was keeping herself afloat by wrapping her arms around a log, said officials with Eastside Fire and Rescue.

According to the Sheriff’ Office, a person jumped into the water to try and rescue the woman.

There are two people being treated for hypothermia.

It is unknown at this time how the woman got into the water.
