NORTH BEND, Wash. -
A woman who had been walking on the roadside was found dead in a ditch after she was struck by a vehicle near North Bend.
The King County Sheriff’s Office said the incident began around 3 a.m. Tuesday when a group was driving just east of the Snoqualmie Casino after a night out.
Police said an argument ensued, and the driver and a woman passenger got out of the car and walked in different directions on 394th Place Southeast north of North Bend Way.
The driver eventually walked back to the car and the group drove around looking for the woman. A short time later, they found the woman in a ditch near the 10200 block of 394th Place Southeast. She had been struck and killed by a vehicle, police said.
Detectives said debris left at the scene by the vehicle that hit the woman, including a left front headlight, is consistent with a full size pickup. Detectives believe the left front of the truck that hit the woman has significant damage.
Anyone with information about the truck or the crime is asked to call the King County Sheriff's Office at 206-296-3311.
