Woman finds armed man in her apartment

Investigators with the Olympia Police Department are looking for a suspect involved in a burglary at the Evergreen Village Apartments Monday night. Officers say a woman returned home just before midnight to find a man armed with a handgun

standing in her apartment.  According to a media release from police, the suspect left without incident.

Olympia officers responded with assistance from Tumwater Police and Thurston County Sheriff's Department. Officers set up a large perimeter and deployed a K-9 team to search the area but the suspect was not found. It is unclear at this time if anything was taken during the burglary.

Police describe the suspect as 5'7 with a muscular build. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 360-493-2222.
