Woman fatally stabbed in South Hill home

A 57-year-old woman was fatally stabbed Saturday morning in her South Hill home, and her 40-year-old daughter was taken into custody, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened at a home in the 13000 block of 158^th Street Court East.

According to Ed Troyer of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, a man called 911 when he heard his wife getting attacked by her daughter.

The woman died before police arrived at the home.

Troyer said the daughter had injuries, which were treated at a local hospital. She was then taken into the Pierce County Jail.
